This is a reference list of the peptides people search for by name, grouped by family. Each entry tells you what that peptide has been studied for, how strong the evidence is, how it is delivered, and whether it is a consumer supplement or a research-use-only compound. Nothing here is held back for the download, and the whole list is also a free PDF you can take without giving an email address.
Most peptide lists online sort by goal, which is useful when you already know what you want. This one sorts by name and class, because most people land here after reading a peptide name somewhere and wanting to know what it is.
Key Takeaways
The Short Version
This chart covers 76 named peptides across nine families, plus the eight compounds that get filed with peptides without being peptides at all.
Every entry carries an evidence tier so you can tell human trial data apart from animal and cell-based findings at a glance.
Every entry also carries a status, because some of these are daily capsules and others are laboratory research compounds that are not for personal use.
The complete chart is available as a free PDF download with no email required.

How to Read This List
Every row carries five pieces of information, and the two that matter most are the evidence tier and the status. Those two columns are what separate a peptide with human trial data you can act on from one that has only been run in a dish.
Here is what each column means.
| Column | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Peptide | The name it is usually sold and searched under, plus common aliases |
| Class or family | The structural or functional group it belongs to |
| Studied for | The research area, not a promised outcome |
| Evidence | How strong the published human, animal or lab data is |
| Route | Oral, injectable, topical or intranasal |
| Status | Whether it is a consumer supplement, a research compound or a prescription drug |
The evidence tiers work like this.
| Tier | What it means |
|---|---|
| Human trials | Randomized controlled trials in people |
| Human, limited | Small, open label, single center, or from one research group |
| Animal | Rodent or other animal models only |
| Cell and lab | Cell culture, cell-free systems or computational modeling |
And the status labels work like this.
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Consumer capsule | Sold by BioLongevity Supplements as an oral supplement for daily use |
| Research use only | Sold by the sister brand BioLongevity Labs for laboratory research, never for personal use |
| Prescription drug | An approved medicine that a clinician has to prescribe |
| Research compound | Studied in laboratories and not sold by either BioLongevity brand |
One route note before the tables. A peptide’s chain length largely decides whether it survives a trip through the stomach, which is why some of these work in a capsule and most do not. Our guide to whether peptides can be taken orally explains where the size threshold sits.
If you want the goal-first version of this material instead, with the operating knowledge on forms, labels and storage, that lives in the peptide cheat sheet. This page is the index. That one is the guide.
Tissue Repair, Skin and Recovery Peptides
This family is the one most people meet first, because it contains the peptides that show up in recovery and skincare conversations. They are grouped together because they all act on tissue remodeling rather than a hormone axis.
| Peptide | Also known as | Class or family | Studied for | Evidence | Route | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| BPC-157 | Body Protection Compound 157 | 15 amino acid gastric pentadecapeptide | Tendon, gut and soft tissue repair; vascular effects | Animal | Oral, injectable, topical | Consumer capsule (oral), research use only (injectable) |
| TB-500 | Thymosin beta-4 fragment | 43 residue synthetic thymosin beta-4 | Actin regulation, cell migration, wound models | Animal | Injectable | Research use only |
| GHK-Cu | Copper tripeptide-1, Gly-His-Lys-Cu | Copper-binding tripeptide | Collagen and elastin synthesis, skin remodeling, hair follicle size | Human, limited | Topical, oral, injectable | Consumer capsule (oral), research use only (injectable) |
| ARA-290 | Cibinetide | 11 amino acid erythropoietin-derived peptide | Small nerve fiber abundance, neuropathic pain | Human trials | Injectable | Research use only |
| Elamipretide | SS-31, BioAmplify | Mitochondria-targeting tetrapeptide | Cardiolipin binding and mitochondrial function | Human trials | Injectable | Research use only |
| AK peptide complexes | AK-1, AK-3, AK-7, AK-8, AK-9, AK-12 | Tissue-specific topical peptide complexes | Skin barrier and topical recovery formulas | Cell and lab | Topical | Consumer topical |
BPC-157 is the most searched name on this page and the one most often described loosely. A 2026 review in Pharmaceutics is blunt about where it stands: three decades of preclinical work, activity by oral, injected and topical routes, and no completed phase 2 clinical trial. That is a deep and consistent animal evidence base, which is exactly what the tier label says.
GHK-Cu sits a tier higher. A review of the copper tripeptide describes controlled work in aged skin reporting better firmness and elasticity and fewer fine lines. It also lists effects on collagen, elastin and growth factor expression.
ARA-290 is the surprise in this group. In a phase 2b randomized trial in people with sarcoidosis-associated small fiber loss, cibinetide increased corneal nerve fiber area and regenerating intraepidermal fibers compared with placebo. It is still a research compound, but the human data behind it is real.
Gut, Barrier and Immune Peptides
These peptides act on the intestinal lining or on immune signaling, and this is the family with the strongest oral track record. Short chains and dedicated transport routes are the reason.
| Peptide | Also known as | Class or family | Studied for | Evidence | Route | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| KPV | Lys-Pro-Val, alpha-MSH C-terminal fragment | Tripeptide | Intestinal inflammation, NF-kB signaling | Animal | Oral, injectable | Consumer capsule (oral), research use only (injectable) |
| N-acetyl larazotide | Larazotide acetate, AT-1001 | 8 amino acid tight junction regulator | Intestinal permeability, gluten-related symptoms | Human trials | Oral | Consumer capsule |
| LL-37 | CAP-18, cathelicidin fragment | 37 amino acid antimicrobial peptide | Antimicrobial activity, innate immune signaling | Cell and lab | Injectable | Research use only |
| Thymosin alpha-1 | Thymalfasin, Ta1 | 28 amino acid thymic peptide | Immune modulation, T-cell function | Human trials | Injectable | Research use only |
| Thymulin | Zinc-dependent thymic nonapeptide | Thymic peptide | T-cell differentiation | Cell and lab | Injectable | Research use only |
| VIP | Vasoactive intestinal peptide | 28 amino acid neuropeptide | Vasodilation, gut and immune signaling | Cell and lab | Injectable, intranasal | Research use only |
KPV is three amino acids long, which means the gut has a transporter built for it. Research published in Gastroenterology showed KPV is taken into intestinal epithelial and immune cells through PepT1 and reduced inflammation markers in two mouse colitis models.
Larazotide acetate has the strongest human evidence of anything in this section. In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial in 342 adults, the lowest dose arm reduced symptoms compared with placebo, with safety comparable to placebo.
Thymosin alpha-1 is a good example of why the evidence column matters. It has genuine phase 3 human data, and that data is mixed. A 2025 multicenter trial in 1,106 adults with sepsis found no reduction in 28 day mortality compared with placebo. Human trial data is the strongest tier available, and it does not always come back positive.
BioGutPro carries four entries from this page in one capsule: BPC-157, KPV, GHK-Cu and N-acetyl larazotide. Tributyrin and zinc L-carnosine round out the formula, and every amount is printed on the label.
Metabolic and Body Composition Peptides
These are the peptides tied to appetite, fat distribution and energy metabolism, and this family has moved fastest in the last five years. Several are approved drugs rather than supplements.
| Peptide | Also known as | Class or family | Studied for | Evidence | Route | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cagrilintide | AM833 | Long-acting acylated amylin analog | Appetite regulation, body weight | Human trials | Injectable | Research use only |
| Tesamorelin | Egrifta | GHRH analog | Visceral adipose tissue, muscle density | Human trials | Injectable | Prescription drug, research use only as a lab compound |
| MOTS-c | Mitochondrial ORF of the 12S rRNA type-c | 16 amino acid mitochondrial-derived peptide | Metabolic regulation, AMPK signaling, exercise biology | Animal | Injectable | Research use only |
| Semaglutide | Ozempic, Wegovy | GLP-1 receptor agonist | Glycemic control, body weight | Human trials | Injectable, oral | Prescription drug |
| Tirzepatide | Mounjaro, Zepbound | Dual GIP and GLP-1 agonist | Glycemic control, body weight | Human trials | Injectable | Prescription drug |
| AOD-9604 | hGH fragment 176-191 | Growth hormone C-terminal fragment | Lipolysis in animal models | Animal | Injectable, oral | Research compound |
Cagrilintide is the newest name most people are looking up. In a phase 2 dose-finding trial across ten countries, once-weekly cagrilintide produced dose-dependent weight reduction compared with placebo in adults with overweight and obesity.
Tesamorelin is the clearest case of a peptide that graduated. It is an approved medicine, and in a secondary analysis of two randomized trials in adults living with HIV, it increased truncal muscle density and area against placebo.
Growth Hormone and Muscle Signaling Peptides
These peptides act on the growth hormone axis or on muscle-specific signaling, and almost all of them are injectable research compounds rather than supplements. None of them are oral.
| Peptide | Also known as | Class or family | Studied for | Evidence | Route | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ipamorelin | Pentapeptide growth hormone secretagogue | Selective growth hormone release | Animal | Injectable | Research use only | |
| CJC-1295 (no DAC) | Modified GRF 1-29 | GHRH analog | Growth hormone pulse amplitude | Animal | Injectable | Research use only |
| PEG-MGF | PEGylated mechano growth factor | 24 residue IGF-1Ec E-domain fragment | Muscle repair signaling after mechanical load | Cell and lab | Injectable | Research use only |
| IGF-1 LR3 analogs | BioIGF-LR | Long-acting IGF-1 analog | IGF-1 axis research | Cell and lab | Injectable | Research use only |
| FLGR242 | Selective myostatin pathway inhibitor | Myostatin signaling in muscle models | Cell and lab | Injectable | Research use only |
Ipamorelin and CJC-1295 are almost always searched together because they are sold as a combined vial. They work on two different receptors, which is the reason they get paired: one is a ghrelin receptor agonist and the other mimics growth hormone-releasing hormone.
Brain, Mood and Sleep Peptides
This family covers the neuropeptides studied for cognition, anxiety and sleep architecture. Several have decades of clinical use in Russia and very little Western trial data, which is why most sit in the limited human tier.
| Peptide | Also known as | Class or family | Studied for | Evidence | Route | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Semax | N-acetyl semax amidate, ACTH(4-10) analog | Melanocortin-derived neuropeptide | Cognition, neuroprotection, stroke recovery models | Human, limited | Intranasal, injectable | Research use only |
| Selank | Tuftsin analog | Heptapeptide | Anxiety and stress response models | Human, limited | Intranasal | Research compound |
| DSIP | Delta sleep-inducing peptide | 9 amino acid neuropeptide | Sleep architecture, stress response | Cell and lab | Injectable | Research use only |
| Noopept | N-phenylacetyl-L-prolylglycine ethyl ester | Dipeptide-derived nootropic | Memory and cognitive endpoints | Human, limited | Oral | Research compound |
| Oxytocin | 9 amino acid neurohypophysial hormone | Social behavior, uterine contraction | Human trials | Injectable, intranasal | Prescription drug, research use only as a lab compound |
If Noopept is the name that brought you here, we have a longer piece on what the noopept research covers.
Sexual Health and Hormone Signaling Peptides
These peptides act on melanocortin receptors or the reproductive hormone axis. Two of them are approved drugs, which makes this family unusual on a peptide list.
| Peptide | Also known as | Class or family | Studied for | Evidence | Route | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| PT-141 | Bremelanotide, Vyleesi | 7 amino acid melanocortin receptor agonist | Sexual desire and related distress | Human trials | Injectable, intranasal | Prescription drug, research use only as a lab compound |
| Melanotan-1 | Afamelanotide, Scenesse | Alpha-MSH analog | Photoprotection, melanin density | Human trials | Injectable implant | Prescription drug, research use only as a lab compound |
| Melanotan-2 | MT-2 | Alpha-MSH analog | Pigmentation and melanocortin signaling | Cell and lab | Injectable | Research compound |
| Kisspeptin-10 | KP-10 | Decapeptide | GnRH release and the reproductive axis | Human, limited | Injectable | Research use only |
PT-141 has two identical phase 3 trials behind it. Across 1,267 randomized premenopausal women, bremelanotide improved sexual desire scores and reduced related distress compared with placebo, and both trials met their primary endpoints.
Melanotan-1 is the same molecule as afamelanotide, which was tested in two randomized placebo-controlled trials in patients with erythropoietic protoporphyria and increased pain-free sun exposure time. The approved implant and the research vial are chemically the same peptide sold under completely different rules.
Cellular Aging and Longevity Peptides
This family is studied for senescence, telomere biology and the pathways associated with biological aging. The evidence here is the earliest on the page, and the honest labels reflect that.
| Peptide | Also known as | Class or family | Studied for | Evidence | Route | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Epithalon | Epitalon, AEDG | Khavinson tetrapeptide | Telomerase activity in cell models, melatonin rhythm | Human, limited | Injectable, oral | Research use only |
| FOXO4-DRI | Proxofim | D-retro-inverso peptide | Senescent cell clearance | Animal | Injectable | Research use only |
| Klotho | AlphaKlotho-LR | Recombinant protein with albumin-binding peptide | Aging biology and kidney signaling | Animal | Injectable | Research use only |
| PNC-27 | 32 residue p53 HDM-2 chimeric peptide | Tumor cell membrane models | Cell and lab | Injectable | Research use only |
Epithalon is the most searched longevity peptide, and its best human result is a modest one. A study of the pineal peptide preparation in older adults found it shifted nighttime melatonin toward a younger pattern, raising it in people whose pineal activity had declined. That is a real physiological change in people. It is not a lifespan outcome, and nobody should present it as one.
The 21 Khavinson Bioregulators, A-1 Through A-21
These are the oral peptide bioregulators, and they are the only family on this page sold as everyday capsules across the whole range. Each is named for the tissue it was developed around, and each carries two names: a Khavinson name from the original Russian research and a BioLongevity product name.
A systematic review of peptide regulation of gene expression reports that short peptides of two to seven residues can enter cell nuclei and bind histone proteins and DNA. That is the proposed mechanism behind the whole class. The background on how that works is in our explainer on what peptide bioregulators are.
All 23 entries below are oral capsules with consumer supplement status.
| Complex | Khavinson name | BioLongevity name | Tissue focus |
|---|---|---|---|
| A-1 | Suprefort | BioPancreas | Pancreas |

Evidence for this family sits in the human, limited tier. The published human work comes overwhelmingly from one research program in St Petersburg and has not been independently replicated by Western trials.
The Khavinson Injectable Short Peptides
These are the synthetic short peptides from the same research lineage, sold as lyophilized powder for laboratory research rather than as capsules. They are often called cytogens, and the sequences are two to four amino acids long.

| Peptide | Sequence | Tissue focus in the research |
|---|---|---|
| Bronchogen | Ala-Glu-Asp-Leu (AEDL) | Bronchial and lung tissue |
| Cardiogen | Ala-Glu-Asp-Arg (AEDR) | Cardiac fibroblasts and cardiomyocytes |
| Cartalax | Ala-Glu-Asp (AED) | Cartilage and bone metabolism |

| Vilon | Khavinson short peptide | Immune cell signaling and gene expression |
The history behind this whole series, and the researcher it is named for, is covered in our piece on Khavinson peptides.
Peptide Blends Sold Under a Single Name
Two blend names come up constantly in peptide searches, and both are single research vials containing several peptides from the tables above. Neither is a consumer supplement.
| Blend | Composition | Total per vial | Route | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| GLOW | GHK-Cu 50 mg, BPC-157 10 mg, TB-500 10 mg | 70 mg | Injectable | Research use only |
| KLOW | GHK-Cu 50 mg, BPC-157 10 mg, TB-500 10 mg, KPV 10 mg | 80 mg | Injectable | Research use only |
KPV is the only difference between them. Our breakdown of what the GLOW blend contains walks through each component. KLOW vs GLOW covers what that fourth peptide changes.
Compounds Filed Under Peptides That Are Not Peptides
Several compounds get grouped with peptides in supplement listings and search results without being peptides at all. They are small molecules, coenzymes or amino acid derivatives, and knowing the difference tells you a lot about how each one behaves.
| Compound | What it actually is | Studied for | Evidence | Route | Where you will find it |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SLU-PP-332 | Synthetic ERR nuclear receptor agonist | Energy expenditure and fatty acid oxidation | Animal | Oral, injectable | ShredMAX |
| 5-Amino-1MQ | Small-molecule NNMT inhibitor | NAD salvage pathway, muscle stem cell activity | Animal | Oral, injectable | Research use only as a standalone |
| BAM15 | Mitochondrial protonophore and uncoupler | Energy expenditure, glycemic control | Animal | Oral | BioBam-15 |
| ATX-304 | Direct AMPK activator | AMPK pathway activation | Early stage | Oral | BioAmp |
| Tesofensine | Triple monoamine reuptake inhibitor | Appetite and body weight | Human trials | Oral | BioFlow |
| NAD+ | Coenzyme, not a peptide | Cellular energy and sirtuin activity | Human, limited | Oral, injectable | Research use only as an injectable |
| Collagen peptides | Hydrolyzed protein fragments | Skin and joint endpoints | Human trials | Oral | Widely sold as a food supplement |
| L-carnitine | Quaternary ammonium compound | Fatty acid transport | Human trials | Oral, injectable | Research use only as an injectable |
The evidence spread across this group is wide. SLU-PP-332 increased energy expenditure and fatty acid oxidation and reduced fat mass in diet-induced obese mice, which is promising animal work. NNMT inhibition improved muscle stem cell activity and regeneration in 24 month old mice, with roughly 70% greater peak torque in treated animals. BAM15 protected against diet-induced obesity and improved glycemic control in mice.
Tesofensine is the outlier: it has phase 2 human data. In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial in 203 adults, the middle dose arm produced 9.2% mean weight loss over 24 weeks against 2.0% on diet and placebo. Heart rate rose in that group, which is a real consideration for anyone taking cardiovascular or stimulant medication.
Collagen peptides deserve one clarifying line, because they are the most common source of confusion on this whole page. They are a nutrient your body digests into amino acids and reuses. Every other peptide on this list is studied as a signal.
Frequently Asked Questions
A few questions come up almost every time someone works through a list like this one.
What is the difference between a peptide and a protein?
Length. Peptides are short chains of amino acids, generally under about 50 residues, while proteins are longer and fold into complex three-dimensional shapes. Most of the peptides on this page are under 40 amino acids, and the bioregulators are two to four.
Which peptides on this list can be taken orally?
The short ones, mostly. Peptides two to three amino acids long have a dedicated intestinal transporter. The Khavinson bioregulators sit in the size range studied for oral use, and BPC-157 is unusually stable in gastric conditions. Anything over about 30 amino acids needs injection or a delivery system.
What does research use only actually mean?
It means the compound is sold to laboratories for in vitro and preclinical work and is not approved or intended for human use. It is a legal and regulatory status, not a quality grade. A research use only compound can be 99% pure and still not be something a person should take.
Are any of these peptides FDA approved?
A few. Tesamorelin, bremelanotide, afamelanotide, semaglutide, tirzepatide and oxytocin are approved medicines with prescription status. Everything else on this page is either a dietary supplement ingredient or a research compound.
Why do some peptides have two or three different names?
Because most of them were named once in the research literature, again by a manufacturer, and again by a brand. Epithalon and Epitalon are the same compound, PT-141 and bremelanotide are the same compound, and every Khavinson bioregulator carries both a Russian research name and a product name.
Where can I download this list as a PDF?
